GDPR Policy
Jack Design Ltd will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data about you, which does not include any special types of information or location-based information. This does, however, include your name, postal address, email and phone number.

Why we need your data
There is a legitimate interest in why we need to know your basic personal data (Name, phone number, email/postal address) to provide you with our services in line with this overall contract. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need to provide and oversee this service.

What we do with your data
All personal data we process is handled by our staff in the UK; however, for IT hosting and maintenance, this information may be stored on servers within the European Union and in other countries worldwide that are GDPR compliant. No third parties have access to your data unless the law allows them to do so.

We have a data protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your data. More information on this framework can be obtained by emailing gdpr@jackdesign.co.uk.

How long we keep your data
We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed. The information we use for marketing purposes will be retained by us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive it.

What we would also like to do with your data
At the moment, we do not participate in any email marketing; however, we would like to use your name and email address to inform you of future developments and similar services. This information is not shared for any third-party purposes, and you can unsubscribe at any time via phone or emailing gdpr@jackdesign.co.uk. If you signed up via our opt-in form, you can update your preferences from the original email.

What are your rights?
If at any point you believe the information we process about you is incorrect, you can request to see it and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint about how we have handled your data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated at complaints@jackdesign.co.uk

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are not processing your data in accordance with the law, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office ico.org.uk
